Af- , work and sacrifice. and expense ` we erected a beautiful temple as a gift to God. • Let us further imagine that after all our efforts and sacrifice, •God took our gift of love and abused it, taking no thought for the maintenance and upkeep of the building He allowed it to take every con- ceivable type of abuse, and fur- thermore Heused the building to raise pigs in. Needless to say, we would Ise insulted, offended , and hurt over the way in which God cared for the moat precious gift of love that we as human beings could conceive. Yet ..the scriptures clearly record that our lives are God's love gift to ue. We read that God looks at our life and bodies as a sacred temple a 91 place in which He. -longs to dwell. How often do we take this precious gift of life aknd . abuse it takingno thought of its value or God's purpose in giving it to U8. We recklessly take foolish chances with it and take, on habits which cause it to be dirty and weak. How, often after much abuse to this gift from God do we wish that it were over and how often do people realize just how precious this gift of life is when it is all but finished; worn and battered with our abuse and neglect. Just think how you are treating your life, God has provided us with maintenance instructions in His Word along with the ability and intelligence to apply them.
