The bride and groom left for
a short- wedding trip before
proceeding to Churchill,
Manitoba, where the groom
will be employed' with the
Department of Transportation
and Communications.

Fisher and Mary Rouse. -
Sixty-four bowlers competed,
with sixteen taking home
prizes.

med the double -ring ceremony
which united in marriage Bruce
Elwin Sillib and r'frarsha, Jane
Hodges.
The bride .is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hodges,
Dungannon. The groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Elwin
Sillib, Nile.
Soloist was Aubrey Toll,
Blyth, who sang 0 Pefect Love
and True Love Goes On and
On.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor -
length empire waisted gown
with high Victorian neckline
and bishop sleeves. There were
two panels of wide embroidered
swiss lace on the front of the
dress and on the centre of the
long cathedral train extending
from the back waist out into a
V at the bottom. The Juliet cap
caught a four -tiered scalloped
silk shoulder length veil and
she carried a bouquet of white
gardenias, stephanotis and
baby carnations.
Maid of honor was Miss Deb-
bie Hodges, sister of.the bride.
She wore a floor -length gown in
yellow featuring a sheer over -
dregs with tiny clusters of
pastel colored flowers. The
'dress featured a long self -
ruffled sleeve, deep hemline
ruffle and bodice ruffled from
the shoulders to a V in front
and back. She wore small but-
terflies in her hair, colored to
match her dress and carried a
bouquet tinted yellow to match
her. gown.
Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Valerie Vanderburgh,' sister of
the bride, Goderich and Mrs.
Ann Hodges, sister-in-law. Miss
Annette Hodges was junior
--bridesmaid. They were gowned,
similarly to the maid of honor
but in green, pink and blue
respectively.
Flowergirl was Miss Vicky
.Vanderburgh, niece of the
bride, in a white gown similar
to those worn by the senior at-
tendants. She carried a white
basket of "mums with yellow,
green , pink and blue flowers.
Groomsman was Gary
Sproul, uncle of the groom,
Dungannon. Ushers were Den-
nis. Vanderburgh, Goderich;
Tim Sanders, Goderich and
Timmy Hodges„ Dungannon.
The wedding reception was
at Saltford Valley Hall. The
bride's table was centred with
a two tiered wedding cake..and
pink bells.
'For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Hodges chase a long
yellow coat and dress ensemble
with white accessories and a
corsage of white gardenias. The
groom's mother chose a long
gown with a mauve crepe skirt -
and a figured sheer crepe
bodice and sleeves with white
accessories and a mauve tinted
gardenia corsage.
For travelling to Manitoulin
Island and* Northern Ontario,
the couple changed into navy
blazers and slacks, the bride
wearing a corsageof yellow
roses.
The newlyweds are living in.
Dungannon.
Prior to her wedding, the
bride was feted at showers
hosted hr,�Mrs_ Marion Hatt
and other nurses of Wingham
Hospital; a community shower
held at Dungannon United
Church; a shower for
girlfriends held at the home of
Mrs. Ann Hodges; and a
shower for relatives given by
Mrs. Marie Huff, an aunt' of the
bride.
Bridge Scores
Six tables were in play when
the Goderich Bridge Club met
in their regular activities this
week.
First went to Mrs. D. Worthy
arid Mrs. William Duncan with
65 points. Second went, to
Frank Donnelly and Roy
Hilton with 60 and one half,
third to Mrs. I. Papernick and
Mrs. 'Frank Currie and fourth
and fifth place tied with 56
points. They were the teams of
Mrs. J. Peters and Mrs.). G.
White and H.A. Weerasooriya
arid Lee Ryan.

holds shoot
The Vanastra Gun Club held
two successful trap and skeet
shoots last week.
In the trap shoot held last
'Wednesday June 27, Lloyd
Venner topped the shooters by
hitting 24 out of a possible 25..
traps. Murray East hit 22 and
Mervin Batkin hit 20. Other
scores were; -Bill Tompson, 21;
Don Cunninghan, 20; John
Land, 20 and Ashley Gilbert,
17. -
- Last Saturday, Louis Morello
topped the skeet .shoot by hit-
ting 23 out of a possible" 25
targets. Tied with him were
Bill Stewart and John Land.
Bill Thompson and Dr. Rynne
each hit 22, while Glen Mogck
hit 21. Mervin Batkin hit 20
and }-lerman Fischer 'shot 19.

blue crimp knit, featuring a
high waist topping ,a wide, full
skirt and trimmed wit h•daisies.
The bride wore daisies in her
hair and carried a bouquet of

Valerie Park of Dungannon
as maid of honor wore a floor
length gown -of white nylon
over taffeta flocked with hlue
flowers, featuring, a long
sleeved, lace trimmed bodice
and blue satin ribbon at the
..waist. Blue ribbons and daisies
accented her hair, and she
carried a bouquet of blue and
white mums.
Richard Bisset of Goderich
was groomsman.
Following the ceremony a
small reception was held at, the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Fran
Huber 113 Park St., Goderich.
Prior to her marriage the
bride was honored at a surprise
shower held at the home of
Mrs. Gail Cook, Dungannon.
The young couple are
residing in Dungannon.
