Dear Ann Landers: Bless you
for having the courage to speak
out and Publish letters about
homosexuality ---a subject con-
sidered verboten 15 years ago
in the American press.,I believe
this is your rfiajor contribution
to society,
I am a lesbian who, unfor-
tunately, attracts bright and in-
teresting men. Sad, but true.
-The more unavailable I am, the
more men seem to pursue me. I
don't care to dance. Nor do I
care to spend my valuable time
(or their money), going places
and doing things. I have my
own intimate friends and they;
are not males.

able to say in plain, un-
mistakable English, "11 am a
lesbian. Please don't waste
your time." I actually said it
recently to a man who was
making a pest of himself. He
laughed uproariously, thought
it was a hilarious joke and
refused to believe me.
So, dear Ann, will you per-
form another service? Tell your
readers that all lesbians don't
wear . short haircuts, slacks,
leather jackets, have deep
voices and walk like cowboys.
Some of us look like your
sisters, wives and sweethearts
and you'd never guess in a
million years. ---Another One
,Dear A.O.: Your letter cer-
tainly makes a dent in the
mythology of homosexuality. It
was good of .you to offer some
authentic insight and I thank
you for it.

suspected for some time that
my telephone conversations
were being recorded. The voices
took on a hollow sound. There
was an occasional click and a
periodic beep. It drove me
crazy.
When I questioned my
husband several months ago he
admitted that he had hugged
the phone because he thought I
was having an affair. Why, I
will never know. I never looked
at another man. After several
weeks he decided he was
mistaken and had the equip-
ment removed.
Recently I began to suspect
the phone was bugged again.
When I asked him he admitted
that he is checking on our
triple jump event, it was
Helesic winning again with Ar-
bour second and Billy Rilett
third. The high jump winner
was Steve Arbour with Paul
Helesic taking second.
Winner in the Intermediate
Boys' long jump was, Tim

also won by McLean with.

McLean also won the triple

getting third.
