Peter' Smith, friend of the
groom, was best man. The
ushers were David Colquhoun,
London, cousin of . the bride,
and Mark Chisholm, brother°of
the groom.
The bride's mother wore a
street -length flowered polyester
silk dress with a pale blue full
length vest and a corsage .of
pink mums. The groom's
mother chose a street -length
dress of polyester lace, in an
orange ice shade. She wore
black accessories. Her corsage
was white mums.
Following a dinner in the
church, a'reception was held in
Canadian Legion Hall,
Brussels.
For- a short wedding trip to
Eastern Ontario, the bride don-
ned a white pant suit flecked

Out of town guests were
present from Vancouver, B.C.,
Toronto, Hamilton, Burlington,
Guelph, London, Goderich,
Palmerston and Listowel.
Prior to their marriage Mr.
and Mrs. Wm. Ritchie and Mr.
and Mrs. G. Chisholm hosted
the bride and gfoom elect at a
party in Lucknow.
Other showers for the bride
were held at Lucknow and
Brussels. Hostesses were Miss
Joan Elliott and Miss Mary
Gjbson, Brussels; Mrs. Pearl
Watson, Auburn; Mrs.
Margaret Cameron, Lucknow,
Miss Laura Scholl, Lucknow;
and Mrs. Mary Huether. M.sc

Church' in Chatham was the
scene of a recent weddirig when
Rev. Lionel Morand united in
marriage - Juan Forester,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A.
Forester of Chatham and
Steven Sparks, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ross L. Sparks of Sarnia.
The bride given in marriage
by her father wore a floor -
length gown of early Canadian
lace, 'styled with fitted bodice,
long sleeves, ruffled neckline
and cuffs. The skirt featured a
chapel length train. A Juliet
crown of lace held in place her
shoulder-lengthveil and ,she
carried a bouquet of
stephanotis, shasta' daisies and
• baby hreath.
Doris Lantz of Guelph was
'matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Jane Forester of
Hamilton, Nancy Forester of
_Chatham, sisters of the bride
and Pat Barry ,of London.
Junior 'bridesmaid was Linda'
Sparks of Sarnia, sister of the
groom.
They re gowned alike in
floor -length dresses of organza
spring floral print, with mat-
ching capes in shades of yellow,
pink, green and white. They
wore white picture hats and
carried bouquets of yellow car-
nations.
.lames Bond of Sarnia was
best man for the ceremony and
the ushers were Tim Sparks,
Bruce Sparks and Peter Sparks,
brothers of the •groom of Sarnia
and Ron Miller, cousin of the
(room 'crf Goderich.

and "He". She was accom-
panied by Mrs. McGarvin.
The wedding- reception and
dinner was held at St. Anthony
Hall in Chatham. The guests
were received by the bride's
mother wearing a floor -length
gown of green crepe and a cor-
sage of gardenias. She was
assisted by the groom's mother
who was gowned in pink
polyester and a corsage of gar-
denias.
For their wedding trip to
Montreal The bride changed to
a white pant suit, trimmed in
navy plaid with navy , ac-
cessories.
On their return Mr. and Mrs.
Sparks will reside in Ldndon.
Guests were present from
Chatham, Sarnia, London,
Goderich, Tillsonburg,
Hamilton, Guelph, Islington,
Grimsby, Brantford and

anniversary on Sunday, June
17th at the hours of 11 a.m.
and 8p.m.
Rev. George Douglas M.S.,
S.T.M., D.D., a great, -
grandson of the first minister,
Rev. Alexander Grant, will
preach at both services.
Special music will be
provided under the direction of
Mrs. Duncan Simpson, organist
and director of Praise.
Following the morning ser -
•vice, noon luncheon will be ser-
ved by the ladies of the
congregation. This will furnish
a time for fellowship and
visiting among old friends who'
have returned to their mother
church for this historic oc-
casion.

With the ball season in full
swing again, the parents are
finding time in a busy schedule
to take their children to the
games and cheer them 'on.
Kingsbridge played North Ash-
field at North Ashfield on
Saturday evening and
Kingsbridge team was vic-
torious, North Ashfield came
out on top at Kinloss at their
game this week in the S-12
group.

report on the Fashion Show
which featured wedding gowns
from the past until the present
day.
Mrs. N. Clairmont modelled
a gown worn by the late Mrs. J.
Howie when she came as a
bride from the Orkney Islands
in 1900. She was a charter
member, also a fife -member of
the Goderich Branch of the ,
W.I. The gown is to he
placed in the Museum by the
request of the family.
Mrs. 13. Crawford presented
the history "Pennies for Friend-
ship" at the District Annual.
Mrs. K. Wilkinson was
program convener.
Birthday greetings were sung
for Mrs. E. Sitter and Mrs. N.
Clairmont.
