the president, Mrs. Harold
Gaunt of St. Helens. Greetings
were also extended from the
London Convention Area by
the president, Mrs. Eleanor
Bradnock. Mrs.' Emerson,
Rodger sang a solo, "An Apple
Blossom Wedding" accom-
panied by Mrs. Gordon Cham-
ney. A sing -song was led by
Mrs. Duncan MacKay accom-
panied by Mrs. Robert Phillips.
Mrs. Beth - Lansing in-
troduced the guest speaker, Mr.
J.H. Kinkead of Goderich. He
paid high tribute to the W.I. for,.
their work in the community
and urged the ladies to work
for the betterment of our com-
munities and thus keep them
for our children.
_ He recalled—the old elemen-
tary school readers and quoted
some and spoke of the lesson
they. taught. The Speaker asked
the question, "What is
Education and where is it going
today?", and spoke of some of
the aims of the teachers and
school boards in Hur.wn County.
He was thanked by Mrs.
Frank Raithby ' and presented
with a gift.
A solo, "Somewhere my
Love," was sung by Mrs. Emer-
son Rodger. A musical dress
contest was conducted by Mrs.
Donald Haines and Mrs.
Eleanor Bradnock. Those
taking part were Mrs. Donald
Cartwright,' Mrs. John
Stadelmann, Mrs. Leonard Ar-
chambault, Mrs. Jessie Naylor,
Mrs. Gordon Powell and Mrs.
Keith Rodger. Mrs. Elmer
Trommer thanked all who had
taken part.

The report and by-laws from
the Huron County Health Unit
regarding plumbing in-
stallation and inspection, were
ordered "filed for the present.
The Clerk was instructed to
writ: the Ministry of Natural -
Resources, Wingham, voicing
Council's objection to a
proposed archery deer season
this fall.
By-law 3, 1973, of the Town-
ship of West Wawanosh, was
given third reading and finally
passed, on motion of Coun-
cillors Rutherford and Hickey.
This by-law authorized the
collection of an Interirh Levy in
1973, due on June 15, and set
at 30 mills farm and resident sal
and 35 mills commercial and
industrial.
