The N H•L Playoffs are well underway now - with afew mild
rprises thus far. New York, of course, stunned Boston - and

Now for the semi-finals: New York will defeat Chicago in 6 and

e quarterfinals).
1 have to chuckle when I read and hear about Johnny Wilson,
-coach of the Red Wings who is currently blasting the Detroit
nt office. It is a common knowledge that Ned Harkness likes
pings his way, no matter how stupid they may be, and by not let -
ng his coach run the cltib the way he saw fit - well, we, saw what
ppened. They' missed the play-offs again. 'Ole Ned hasn't done
well coaching, managing or selling hot dogs at the Olympia.
aybe he'd better head back to college hockey.
Rumours have Johnny Ferguson, ex -buddy of Harry Sinden
aded for the Bruin;.. Sinden has literally taken the Boston fran-
ise by the — neck, and look what they got this year. Washington
sn't know how lucky it is to be getting a man like Milt Sch-
idt.
Meanwhile, back home here, King Clancy the "ageless wonder"
the Leafs is down in Montreal trying to work on Sammy

a goalie or two. and Montreal's got 5 of them. Leafs' netmin-

I must not end this column without commending the Buffalo
