THE TORONTOlJ.1\J SYNDICATE
Quiet. shy and pleasant is a good description of 12 -yea(: -old
David. French and Scottish in descent. he is ta11 and slim with
hazel eyes, fair hair and 'tedium complexion.
i)a% id is in good health. Ile broke his nose w hen_ little and if
you look hard you can see it's slightly crooked. but it doesn't
interfere with his breathing.
Day id's (rade six work is ay ei age or slightly below . Ile -does
better in school and in any kind of acti% ity if allot't'ed to go along
at his own pace, because pressure bothers him.
Not competitive in nature, Int id would just as soon stay
peacefully indoors building models as go out to play games.
Dow et' er. he takes part in spurts .at school and Last y ear was on a
soccer team.
This c0-opera1i%e boy usually ,,;nes along amiably with what
other people st ant to do. Ile gets on %1 ell with other children.
David's foster parents have a camper and Day id has enjoy ed
camping trips with them. That kind of casual oaltdoor !ising
appeals to hint.
David needs relaxed parents who are content to encourage.

"THE BIBLE
TODAY"
Testimonies about the ef-
fectiveness of "Good News ,dor
Modern Man", the New Testa-
ment in Today's English ver-
sidn, come from many parts
of the world. Here are two
from the Canadian Bible Soc-
iety:
A pastor wrote, "I gave a
copy of the New Testament
to a man wlho promised that
he and his family would react'
it together. They did this, and
eventually the man, his wife
and two teenage daughters all
turned . to Christ. The man
said that the reading of the
New Testament together had
lett them to make their decis-
ion."
