`Phis ..past weekend saw the
worst snow storm of the winter.
Roads- were blocked; visibility
nil, and everyone was advised
to stay at home unless it was
absolutely necessary to go out.
As if things weren't bad
enough with snow, the strong
winds and sleet disrupted
hydro and telephone lines, and
many had no means of com-
munication as telephone repair
men are not on duty on
weekends. Snowmobiles were
again a blessing to those people
who needed help'

NO PLAYTHING!
Teach children to stay away
from explosives and blasting
equipment, warns Consumers'
Association of Canada. A
blasting cap ,may look like an
interesting toy to a curious
child, but -that .little aluminum
object is far from harmless. It is
dangerously sensitive. it con-
tains enough explosive to blow
off a child's hand or blind him
permanently. CAC headquar-
ters is located at 100
Gloucester Street, Ottawa.
