Hopefully, by the time you readers see thisarticle, the Goderich
Sailors will have wrapped up their first Intermediate "C" hockey
hampionship. At press time they are ahead in games :3-2 in a best
of seven series. The team is playing well despite poor officiating ...
Interesting to .see the top two teams in the CHHL, the KFC
,luveniles and the GA
oderichuilding Centre get knocked out of
their respective playoff serir. On the basis of league play, they
both looked to he the favourites Montreal continues to push
aside all competition in the NHL. However, they are bound to lose
a few good hockey Players in the .June draft. In fact the Leafs get :3
of the top 2(1 graduating juniors this year and that may be a factor
in getting them back on the road to respectability.... Philadelphia
is a team to be reckoned with in the playoffs. They currently lead
the league with the most penalties and are fashioned in the mould
of the Bruin teams - a rough, tough hunch of "hit" men ... Tur-
ning to baseball, Sandy's -Clippers are currently training in
Sarasota , Florida. Some observers have commented that they
should stay there all summer ... I wonder if switching my wife
would help me •play better baseball ... I guess Fr-itz and Mike
think so ... See you .next week.
