NILE U.C.W. The United Church Women's meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Lil Christilaw. Mrs;. Beth Dickson, president, opened the meeting by _thanking Mrs. Christilaw for the use of .her home and welcoming everyone. Scripture was read by Mrs._ .Florence Talmay. 'Theme of the meeting: was "Christian and Missionary Education" and was led by Mrs: C. McClenaghan. Mrs. McClenaghan opened her part of the meeting with a contest "naming items which came fr'nn-1 India or what grew in India" after which a questions and answer period was held about India. Minutes of the last meeting were rad followed with roll call being answered by 1:3 mem.- hers, one visitor and four children. The treasurer's report was read by Mrs. Ann Feagan. A motion was made by Mrs. Myrtle Kerr and .seconded by Mrs. Grace McDiarmid that the ladies cater to no more wed- dings at Saltford or anywhere outside the.,•churc•h.. • Lunch was served by Mrs. Lil ('hristilaw and 'Mrs. Phyllis Scott and a social hour was spent.
