St. George's choir at festival The Pert h region of (tie Royal Canadian College of Organists sponsored a festival of music on Sunday, Fehruary 25 in Knox Church. Stratford, in which St- George's_Anglican Church choir participated. One hundred and twenty senior choir voices from various churches, blended bi'atitifully with then descant voices of 70 children. Several new and modern hymns were irttrodnoed in which the congregation joined. Mr. Paul C. BAIT, nhx'mber. of the 1(.C.('.0. played the ser- vice prelude's, Fantasia and Fugue in (' Miner by J.S. Shamrocks were banded out to be brought in fur. the March meeting. A talent table will he held at each meeting and the articles at this meeting were made by Mrs. Ruth :Jerry, her mother and mother'in-,law. After the concluding hymn and prayer, Chris Hyde conduc- ted a rontest and while lunch was served by Winnie Walters and' Donna Crawford, Hazel McCreath demonstrated her art of making' mugs jugs, howls etc. She had a large display of her finished work in many dif- ferent phases and patterns, and wcn,t through the various stages beginning with the making of the mold. ' - • This concluded a very educational and inspiring meeting.
