The Presbyterian Women's
Missionary Society met at the
home of Mrs. Frank Raithhy
for their February meeting.
The president, Mrs. Wilfred
Sanderson. -was in charge of the
meeting . and , gave a reading
"Words. Words, Words." The
opening hymn;', Faith of our
fathers' was sung •with Mrs.
Robert Phillips at the piano.
Mrs. Sanderson welcomed the
visitors and member`' and the
devotional period was taken by
Mrs. Frances Clark. She chose
Acts 1I:19-26 verses as ,her
scripture lesson and this was
read in unison. Her mediation
was "A Salute to the Women of
India” based on this passageof
scripture. • She closed with
prayer. -
- The roll call was answered
bya Bible verse containing the
word "Willing." A piano solo
was played -by Mrs. •Robert
Phillips. The minutes of the
previous meeting were adopted
-as read by Miss Minnie
Wagner. Quilt blocks were
handed in and the quiltwill be
quilted at the 'home of Mrs.
Frances Clark.
Business was disctissed and
correspondence read. The
topic -No passing the Buck was
given by Mrs. Major
Youngblut. This article had
been written by Billy Graham
and -was very interesting. The
offering was received by the
treasurer,. Mrs. Clark and
dedicated with prayer..
The meeting was c%sed with
a hymn, followed by the
benediction. A delicious lunch
was served by Mrs. Raithby
assisted by Mrs. Wilfred San-
derson and Mrs. Clark.

Mark's Anglican Church
Women was held at the home
of Mrs. R. Brooks last. Tuesday
afternoon. The .January
meeting had been cancelled
owing to the illness of Mrs.
Donald Cartwright hostess for
that meeting.
Mrs, ,Brooks opened the
meeting with a hymn, and Mrs.
Celia Taylor accompanied on
the piano. A prayer was read
by Mrs. Brooks on "Faith".
Mrs. Donald Cartwright gave a
reading "Faith in God." Mrs.

The couple- were married by
the Rev. Charles Cummings of
the St. Helen Presbyterian
church at the home of her
parents. They are members of
the'same church in Goderich.
Mrs. Raynard was the former
Violet Drennan, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. James (:
Drennan, 1+ Goderich Mr.
Raynard the son of the late, Mr.
and Mrs. Max Raynard
Lucknow. The couple farmed in
Ashfield township till moving to
Goderich in 1943.
They have daughters ('Ger-
trade, Mrs. Ralph Blackstone
of Scarbourgh, Winnifred, Mrs.
Bruce Chapman of London,
eight grandchildren, three
great grandchildren.
