Alton enjoyed the afternoon at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Ken Morris at Bennriller. Several relatives from this area attended the funeral of Mrs: Melvin Webster on Wednesday at Clinton. The annual meeting of Dungannon United Church was held on Thursday afternoon, preceded by a pot luck dinner. He was taken , to Wingham Hospital where he was kept for a few days, but is home again and recovering nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Atlee Wise III and daughter Patricia from Akron, Ohio spent a week at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wellington Webster, returning home Saturday. A, dinner' was held at the Kingsbridge school to celebrate birthdays of the month on the teaching staff. This month members honoured were Mrs. Rose Frayne, Mrs. Carla Hogan, and Mrs. Maithel Wilson. It was reported that the house league hockey was going well with a good turn -out each week. There was a discussion on holding a St. .John's Am- bulance First Aid course at Brookside school this spring. The cost would he • ap- proximately $11.09 per person for •First Aid equipment and books.. There will he swimming lessons in , Lucknow this sum- mer. .It was reported that forms will he sent out to the schools to find out who are in- terested. Bill Black agreed to organize a dance to be held in Dungan- non sometime in April. It -was decided to hold a dance just as a community get-together. Mrs. Arnold Campbell who came to the meeting with Mrs. Barry :Hackett said she would be interested in doing what she could to help the Recreation Committee this year. The Committee was pleased to 'welcome her. It was the wish of the, Recreation Committee that the Activity night continue on this year tante a week as it did last year under the direction of Mrs. Barry ...Hackett- Any children—,. under 13 who are interested in' joining this group or anyone wishing to help with this, group are asked to get 'in touch with Mrs. Hackett as soon as possible. He also said he was phoning the coaches of the girls' ball teams to see if they 'are going to get their teams playing ball this spring as this has proven to he a big sport in this area.
