Curled in the Wednesday
morning Ecumenical League
last week and I was really im-
pressed with the enthusiasm of
this group of ladies. All thirty
two-:- turn up faithfully every
Wednesday and the four sheets
of ice are filled. More impor-
tant these gals are really
- having fun!
Shela ;h Sully and Bertha
McGee deserve a lot of credit
for their efforts on behalf of
this pay as you play draw.
From all reports, the Thursday
evening Industrial League is
enjoying the same degree of
success. ,
Have been taken to task for
not reporting the winners in
each of the various draws and I
do apologize.If the' conveners

pleased to include' same in the
write up.
Have you signed up for the
Alexander and Chapman
mixed jitney to be held on
Saturday, February 3? We need
a few more curlers ti fill both
draws.
In mentioning the St. Patrick
Weekend Bonspiel last week, I
erred in stating that there
would be three games on the
Saturday. Curlers are guaran-
teed three games: one on
Friday evening and two on
Saturday.
Di you notice. the posters in

lovely. Thanks Mona. -

Officer Woods will give a
small talk on how he sees the
question of drugs and drug
abuse from where. he sits, After
the opening speech the
policeman will ' answer
'questions from the audience.
We are not necessarily trying
to create a "hot seat" situation
wish to give everyone
present a better understanding
of the•---drug--laws- and -of a
policeman's' duties. This
seminar will take place in the
parlour at Knox Presbyterian
Church at 730 p.m. A short
film will be shown and we hope
that many interested and con-

YOUTH ORG NIZATION: ???,
Ctri1?,ilot,.r 1ly..be ieves,, that
there is a eed for a permanent
youth ors,nization in Goderich.
Many ung people seem to be
of th same opinion and quite a
few ave suggested very sound .
id as in order to initiate a
outh group in the town.
The first step to such a
program would have to 'be a
meeting of all interested people
in the area. Co -Pilot will gladly
provide the place if there is a
reasonable number of in-
terested. -citizens :..in.: Goderich ,.
ready to sit down and discuss
- the . pros-and--cons--of-a---per-
manent youth 'project.
If you are interested give us a
call or drop in and let us know
who you are. Then we can get
together and see if such a
project is feasible and proceed
to hold a meeting of all the in-
terested youth and adults in
the area: The only way
Goderich will ever consider a
permanent youth center . is if
enough people...: generate the
right amount of concern within
the town. So, if you are in-'
terested, let us_khow and we
will get theings going.
