Lorne Boyd, 191 Ox- ford Street, Goderich, died January 16 - at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital following a brief illness. He was 81. • Born August 1, 1891 in Stanley Township to James and Frances (Palmer) Boyce, he :worked as a farmer and' later a laborer,with Goderich., Elevators and Sifto Salt Block. He was a member of ',St. George's Anglican Church. Allen, Victoria, B.C.; one brother, Ted Plante; Toronto;, and her mother, Mrs. Gilbert `Plants, Goderich. She was predeceased by her first husband, Reg Carter. Funeral mass was Monday, January -22 in St. Peter's Church with Rev. Raymond Moynhan officiating. Interment was in St. Peter's .Cemetery, Colborne Township. GERTRUDE EDITH CARTER In Bramalea on Sunday, Januaey 14 Gertrude Edith Carter, beloved wife of the late Edmund John Carter, passed away. M� Born in Goderich Dec. 12th 1885, she was the daughter of The late Wm. Nivins and Mary Ann McNevin. She had resided in Goderich all her life until moving to Galt 23 years ago. Her husband predeceased her in July 1972. She is survived by three sons, Stewart of Bramalea; Philip of Galt; and Wm. of Portland Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. James Heddle of Ann Arbor, Mich.,; and Mrs. Verne Gledhill,. Ben - miller; and three grand- children. The funeral took place .Wed- nesday January 17 from the T. Little and Son Funeral Home, 39 Grand 'Ave. N. Interment was in Mount View Cemetery. Relatives from Goderich at- tending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Verne Gledhill and Miss Marion MacKay. Napier_ Street, _Goderich;•' died Friday, January 19 at her residence following a - lengthy illness. She was 62. The former Delina L. Plante, she was born 'September 15, 41910, in. Goderich to Gilbert and Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Plante. She was a resident of Goderich for most of her life. She . was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and the, Catholic Women's League there. Surviving are her --husband, Benson H. Johnston; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Jane) Rodger, Auburn; three grand- children,, 'Robbie, rand- children,,Robbie, Lisa and --ott; three sisters, Mrs. 144-i- (Doris) ,ye(Doris) Compeau, Tillsonburg; Mrs. Bud (Verna) Worthy, Goderich; .,Mrs. `George (Rita) ALMA PEARL GRAY, Alma Pearl Gray, 1234 Cen- tral Ave., Windsor, died January, 15 at her residence. Buekema. , For her wedding the bride chose a white floor -length gown of synthetic jersey with high neckline, long sleeves and yoked back ending in a long train. -She wore a woven ,Juliet cap_ and carried a bouquet of red roses, , white gardenias, white miniature carnations and white stephanotis scattered with green leaves. Matron of honor was Mat - thea Hoogenboom, sister of the bride, Toronto. - Bridesmaids were Ena Oskam, sister of the bride, Toronto, .and Sophia Hoogendoorn, cousin of the bride, Clinton..
