He suggested that the gover-
nment take a serious look at
providing more snowmachine
runs. He said that farmers
could be contacted about let-,
ting their lands be used for
snowmachine trails and then
reimbursed for their ~efforts
from the admission which
should be charged.
• Stucky also suggested that
the licence fees paid for
snowmachines be turned over
to the lands and forests depart-
ment of government for the -
creation of such snowmachine
Tuns.
He favored teaching
snowmachine safety in the
schools of the county.
Ernest Williams of Seaforth
told the--. meeting that the
nuisance. factor of • the
snowmachine "can no longer be
ignored". He said the
snowmachine should be "con-
fined to an area designed Tor
their use"- and suggested that
an age- limit be enforced for
persons operating them.
Williams further suggested
that snowmachines be banned

adequate brakes, improved
lighting and padded han-

that the extra precaution of

In order to ,control

that machines have individual
numbers painted on the side in
contrasting paint which would
be easily .visible from a
distance:
-Buffinga said that existing
laws governing swmachines
were adequate, if they were en-

the government could assist by
using a portion of the licence

snowmachine - trails within
easy distance of all
municipalities.
