BY W: , Elliott • Donald Macdonald, of the Inverness ' Macdonalds, was slain in the famous Battle of 'ulioden in 1740. However, he 'had left at home a young widow and four young children, otherwise Mr. G. E. Anderson of Ottawa, a descendant, would ,. not be writing to the Signal - Star in 1972 for the obituary of a kinsman, the late Sheriff John Macdonald of Huron..'
