Short, a resources project,.
which has iteen outlined in the
paper,. in e,,arlier- editions, will
be underway in Goderich. The
h purpose of this project is to
determine the existance of com-
munity groups, .. programs,
facilities and generally identify
the needs and wishes of the
public respecting present and
„future recreation programing.
Below, . is a list of clubs and
organizations that exist across
the province. If you know of the
existance of such a club, or are
a member of such a club or an
other organization not listed -
below, but, that comes to mind
$ whileperusing the list, please
fill out the attached form and ,
return it , to the address in- r
dicated. Certain services can be
extended to community groups,
through ' the Recreation and
Community Centre Board, and
knowing of the existance of
various community groups
helps in the planning of overall
community programs.

'On Monday, December 11 the
Ahmeek Chapter of the
EO.D.E. held their Christmas
Luncheon at the Bedford Hotel.

which took place lately, such as
the Chapter's part in the
Christmas Parade in which
they earned second irize and of
the Christmas Bake Sale which
was quite a success.

Worrell took their affirmation;
and Mrs. N. Clairmont and.
Mrs. G. Henderson received
their twenty-five year pins.
Mrs. Henderson introduced
the guest speaker, Mrs. Angela
Dawson, • he d of ,psychiatric

nursing atOntario Hospital
near Goderich, who spoke on
the subject, "Working . With
• Stress".
Mrs. Dawson, as a registered
nurse, felt that she was limited
in her ability to work with her
patients under stress. She liked
to feel that she could share
their burdens.
This led to the taking of
man.y further courses in
psychiatry . and psychology
which has helped her under-'
stand the feelings of her
patients.
She mentioned different ways
in which nurses can help.
She said, "Trust your patient
0 and he will deserve .' your
• her with a gift in appreciation
on behalf of the Chapter.
Mrs. Neville added her
thanks, and wished all a Happy
,, Yuletide Season.

She spoke on the
"Rehabilitation of Patients",
remarking that the hardest
time. is when they go back to
their homes and community.
This is where people can help.
Mrs. Dawson also spoke on
working with children. Group

some children cannot share in
this, she said, and must have a
worker assigned to them.
She also spoke on Alcoholic
and Drug Addiction and how to
deal with it.
The study, of psychology
teaches one to deal with

speaker pointed out.
Mrs. E. Sitter thanked the
speaker for her interesting and
informative talk, and presented
