"ECEMBER 21. 1472- 1 students at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Separate School in Goderich wound up a six week science fairproject this week with judging at the school by principal Larry Cook and R.C.S.S. board member Vince Young. This display featured taxidermy and was arranged by Pat and Cathy Wisser. Here_ they show their work to the program organizer Larry Lane. Cathy Wisser's entry on "Nature" topping the grade seven division. (staff photo) Tie Beavers for first place The Goderich Sailors moved into a tie for first place with the Seaforth Beavers with a 5-1 victory over the Beavers last Sunday afternoon in Goderich. Both team's have a 7-3 record. Goderich scored two goals in the first period from scrambles in front of the Seaforth net to take . a 2-0 lead into ' the dressing room after one period. George Gould, backhanded the ' puck over the sprawled Seaforth goalie for the first goal at 5:46 from Ron Miller. Frank Hagon scored Goderich's second goal at 16:33 from Wayne Rau awl Wane Fisher. Wane Fisher scored on a breakaway at 4:53 of the third period to up Goderich's lead to three. Bob Beuttenimiller,_'scored.: Seaforth's only goal at 6:15 from Rick Heinbuck. The puck Was hea'lied.wide along the ice but was deflected into the Goderich net by Goderich goalie Rob Kellestine. Wayne Rau scored Goderich's fourth goal at 13:08 unassisted. After �tlre' goal, Seaforth's Ken Doig shoved 'Rau and' the two were involved in ' a minor altercation which resulted in minor penalties to each. Two defencemen combined for Goderich's final goal at 17:43. Bill Fritzley scored from Wane Fisher. Ken Doig was the bad man of the game with six penalties. In all Seaforth received 11 penalties. Doig had four minors, a ten minute miscon- duct and a game minsconduct. Goderich was given seven -,-minors. Rob Kellestine played a good' game in the Goderich, goal; coming up with several If 1.was Santa Claus If I were Santa Claus I would put the presents around the tree and would decorate the tree too. ,I'd put the candy in the stockings and I would be ,quiet when I put the presents around the tree.
