played by Wanda Plaetzer and
Lorraine Chaniney sang the
• solo, "Bless This House", ac-
companied by Doris Naylor.

Review busy year
Mrs. Gordon '‘ Taylor
president of the Auburn Hor-
ticultural Society, held the
December executive in the
Town Hall last Thursday after-
noon. She reviewed briefly the
work done by the members
throughout the year and read a
poem "Christmas Joy". The
minutes of the previous
meeting were read by Mrs.
• Beth Lansing.
A vote of thanks was ten,
dered to all those who had
assisted in mowing grass
around the letters, Manchester
Garden, flower beds and flower
boxes. Plans were made to put
Santa and his reindeers. on the
St. Mark's Anglican church
lawn and thet-colored street
lights • are lit now for the
holiday season. These jobs are
much appreciated by the
Society and it all lends a hand
to beautify our village. .

Hold youth service
Sunday last was another
refreshing time for the
congregation of Knox United
• Church, not only was the Sun-
day School well attended, but
the Sanctuary was well filled
• for the morning service.' The
Junior CGIT and the Ex-
plorers, unties the direction of
their leaders, Mrs. Allan Web-
ster, Miss Brenda Archam-
bault, 'Miss Brenda Ball and
Miss Doreen McClinchey, .con-
ducted a fine worship service.

The traditional Christmas
hymns were sung at the service,

her brother, Douglas on the
guitar. both the organist, Mrs.
Norman Wightman and Mrs.
Allan Webster presided at the
organ.
