Vikings off to poor start
The Goderich Vikings boys'
basketball team got off to 'an
unimpressive start in 'Huron -
Perth competition, losing three
games to Listowel last . Thur
sday in Listowel.
Listowel won the senior game
40-36, the junior game 59-44,
and the midget game 46-24.
Terry Linesman scored 15
points and Nigel Hall had nine
to lead the senior Listowel
Lords.
Brian MacKenzie was the
game's top scorer, with 16
points in the losing effort for

Viking's played in exhibition
games Wednesday in Sarnia
against Sarnia Central, and
will play during the Christmas
vacation at the Stratford Nor-
thwestern. tournament.
Coach Frank MacDonald's
midget team, with twelve
players playing in their first
game, played well despite the
score. Six members of the team
are only 13, which gives them
another year to develop. Steve
Hudson with six points led the
Goderich scoring, while Paul`
Mackay` added four. Mike An-
drews, Dale Nivens and Len
Kolkman each got three points,
with Ian Lambert and Bill
Gauley getting two apiece.
Dave Anderson and Steve
Kaufman each had 11 points to
lead the Listowel mini -Lords.
Representing the Kitchener Waterloo Granite Club, this rink
placed third in the second draw of Saturday's• Sheaffer Pen
