A candlelight ceremony in
United Church, Dungannon,
November 18 united " in
marriage Janice Lorraine Van-
derburgh, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs_ Ken Vanderburgh and
Donald Melvin Dickson, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin. Dickson,
all of Port. Albert. q

'The double -ring ceremony
was conducted by Rev.
McClenaghan. The organist
was . Miss Karen Rivett of
Dungannon.
Given in. marriage 'by her
father, the bride chose 'a floor
length goWn fashioned from
Lagoda with Venese lace accen-
ting the empire waist, high
neckline and victofian sleeves
with a detachable train. A
pearl floral cluster held the
four tiered illusion veil in
place. She carried yellow roses
and white carnations.
The matron of `honour was
Mrs. Nancy Irwin, sister of the
bride, Goderich. The
bridesmaids were Miss Sandra
Dickson, sister of the groom,
Port Albert, and Miss Joanne
Pestell, niece of the bride,
Monkton. The attendents were
gowned alike in chiffon punch,
styled with floralappliques on
high neckband and empire look
with shirred bodice, flowing
skirt to floor length. They
carried yellow and gold mums
and yellow straw flowers.
• The best man was Mr. Mark
Dauphin, friend of the groom,
and ushers Mr. Brian Draper
and Ron Hodges, friends',of the
groom, all of Port Albert.
The wedding reception was•
held in Saltford Valley Hall
where yellow roses decorated
the tables,
The • bride's mother wore a
black crepe floor length gown
with a floral sleeveless bodice
.and floral appliques to hemline ._
U„..41nd corsage .of yellow roses.
The groom's' mother selected a
floor length gown off royal blue
arnel crepe withwhite bodice
and' sleeves and corsage of pink,
carnations.
Prior to her marriage a
shower was field at Anglican
Church, Port Albert, hosted by
the W.M.S. at that church.
There were 84 guests present.
The couple will reside at 194
Bennett St. Goderich.

Mr. and Mrs. Clement
Desjardins were honoured on
the occasion. of their twenty
fifth wedding anniversary with
a gathering of their relations
and friends at the MacKay Hall
November 25. Their daughter
Vera presented her father with'
a white carnation boutonniere
and her mother a white car-
nation corsage upon their
arrival at toe hall.
Host and hostess for the
evening were the couples'
family,, William and his fiancee
Nancy Swan, Vera and her
husband John Kelp, Robert
•and his wife Barbara and their
maternal grandmother Mrs.
Vera Larder.
• The hall was suitably`
decorated with a large silver
twenty-fifth. A three' tiered
cake, baked by Mrs. Vera Lar-
der, graced the main table, It
was white with silver' leaves
and mauve centered white
roses on the corners and topped
with silver bells. Crystal candle
• holders with tall mauve can-
dles stood on either side and
flower center of mauve car-
nations and white mums com-
pleted the arrangement.
• William Desjardins greeted
the guests as -they arrived and
delivered the address to his
parents on behalf of all
gathered.
An evening' of dancing was
enjoyed with music provided by
Francis Schram's group. Art
Fougere sang a few songs much
to evervones pleasure and Mr.
Wilfred .Jervis joined the group
and played the bones.
..A lovely lunch was served at
mid evening. Then the bride
and groom of twenty-five years
passed the anniversary cake
.and opened the many lovely
gifts presented them.

London, Forest, Clinton,
BavNeld, Seaforth and
Goderich.

at the Candlelight
November 17, their Anniver-
sary Mr. and Mrs. Desjardins
renewed their wedding vows
before Father Moynahan 'at St.
Peters Church where Eugenia
Brindlev had twenty-five years
before said f do to Clement
Desjardins before Father
Gleeson.
