death and ugliness will seem a
very Iong way away. But those
things are never farther away
than the, moment's carelessness
that always comes to the other
guy. •

the Hydrocollator. In addition the Auxiliary cheque helped
purchase Orthron equipment for the Physiotherapy Depart-
ment and a Ventimeter for the Operating Room Anaesthetic

These 10 former Tweenies followed the stepping stones to
the magic pool on Tuelsday afternoon to become full fledged
members of the Brownies. The going up ceremony was held
at St. George's Anglican Church Hall. Left to right they are,
Huron County • Board of
Education, Goderich and
Colborne Township voters went
to the polls to select a new
representative. They chose
another Goderich Township
farmer, John Westbrook.
Westbrook, the father of four,
beat out his two opponents,
R.J. Carter and Robert Swart -
man with ease, polling more
votes than both Carter and
,Swartrr.tan together.
Westbrook had 469 votes;
Carter 160; and Swartman 1512.
Dr. Morgan•Snith of Bayfield
failed once more in his bid for
a ' seat on the board of
education. Running in the
Stanley Township - Tucker -
smith Township - Village of
Bayfield - Town of Seaforth
district, Smith polled 380 votes
and wound up in third spot
behind Mrs. Mollie Kunder of
Seaforth and John Broadfoot
of Tuckersmith.
Mrs. Kunder led the polls
with 719 votes followed by
Broadfoot, presently vice-
chairman of the board, with
681. Placing last was a fourth
candidate, Peter Damsma with
136.
