Fold other side of dough overlapping edges; seal. Place sealed -side -down on ungreased baking sheets and brush with milk, Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; then Cut diagonally into 1 -inch 'bars. Makes 5.1/2 dozen bars. FIG WALNUT FILLING Combine 1 1/ 1 cups ground figs, 2/.3 cup water, 6 tablespoons sugar, and 22/1 tablespoons grated orange rind in saucepan. Cook about 5 minutes, or until thickened, stirring constantly. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 2/.3 cup coarsely chopped walnuts. Cool. Makes 2 cups filling. PINEAPPLE COCONUT FILLING Mix 6 tablespoons sugar, 5 teaspoons cornstarch, a dash of salt, and 1'1 cup canned pineap- ple juice in top of double boiler. Add 1 1' 3 cups drained, canned crushed pineapple. Cook over boiling water 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 11/1 cups (about) Baker's Angel Flake Coconut. Cool.. Makes 2 cups filling. DATE PEANUT BUTTER FILLING Mix 1'; cup sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1/2 cup water in top of double boiler. Add 1 3, 2 cups ground dates. Cook over boiling water 10 minutes, stirring oc- casionally. Add 6 tablespoons • peanut ,butter and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. and blend: Cool. Makes 2 cups filling. RAISIN ALMOND FILLING Combine 1 cup, sugar, 2 teaspoons cornstarch, 1 tablespoon grated ora ge rind, and 1'2 cup orange juice in saucepan. Add 2 cups raisins, ground,. and cook 6 minutes, or until thickened, stirring constan- tly. onstantly. Add 1 cup toasted almonds, coarsely chopped. Cool. Makes 2 cups filling. COCONUT APRICOT FILLING Cook one pacage (10 oz.) dried apricots as directed on package. Cool. Drain apricots reserving 1' 1.cup Gam,_- in_-(Qr.,use clips cooked dried apricots and 1/3 cup apricot syrup.) Chop apricots and combine with reser- ved syrup, 2 cups Baker's Angel Flake Coconut and 111 cups sugar. Use 1'' cup for eiich of the strips of dough. Makes :3 cups filling.
