Arena Manager Bill Lumby.

by the Board affecting the

all programs and facilities un-

Board.
He would also be responsible
for the preparation and control
of budgets, relative to the
operation of these programs and
facilities and the supervision of
all full and part-time staff.
He would be responsible for
organization and administration
of an efficient recreation office.

accurate records and the
preparation and presenting of
necessary reports as required.
He would be called on to
make the preparation and con-
trol of necessary current and
capital -budgets. the efficient
spending of such funds subject
to the approvalof the Board.
Mr. Dymond would recom-
mend the appointment of ad-
ditional full or part-time staff,
as required, and provide the
necessary ,direction, supervision
and training opportunities.
He would co-ordinate existing •
programs of recreation and
develop, promote and operate
further balanced and varied
programs for the citizens of the
community.

recreation .facilities under the.
Board and the operation of ad-
ditional facilities as they
develop. - Mr. Dymond would
also be expected to survey and,
assess needs and interest.

Lumby should work closely with
groups utilizing ` the facility,

in utilizing the faculty, and
generally make the facility
available . to the community,
promoting the same as a Com-
munity ,Centres.

proposed Soccer Association,
participants of, a past O.F.Y.
program, a gentleman interested
in noon hour •concerts and had
an interesting tour," he said.
In addition the new recreation
director said that he had taken
time to scout the town himself
and hoped to soon know it quite
well. -
"People who work in a public
office," he observed, "are sub-
jected to both interesting and
uninteresting phone calls. I have
received two, both positive and I
am looking forward to many
more".
Mr. Dymond ,said he felt an
office was a very important part
of a Director's function. "I have
established one, acquired many
of the necessary supplies and
things, are starting to fall into
place":
