S. George's Anglican Church
was decorated with white, and .
yellow mums for the September
30 wedding of Darlene Draper
and James Ernest Fielder. Rev.
'Garwood Russell conducted the
double -ring ceremony.
The bride is the only daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Draper,
205 Britannia Road, Goderich.
The groom is the son of Mrs.
John Fielder of Port Albert and
the late Mr. Fielder.

father, the bride chose a floor -
length gown of white silk
organza with fitted bodice ac-
cented by a wedding band
neckline and sleeves trimmed
with delicate chantilly lace with
white satin ribbon. The skirt for-
med its own chapel -length train. -
A Juliet pearl trimmed capheld
her three -tiered elbow -length
veil. Her potpourri clutch
bouquet was of yellow
sweetheart roses, red sweetheart
roses, pink miniature carnations
and baby's breath.
--Matron of honor was Mrs.
George Vanderburgh, Goderich,
who chose a floorlength yellow
printed polyester chiffon gown
witt'sliiirt puff'v sleeves, and
high neckline. The neckline and
'sleeves were trimmed with
white.
The bridesmaids were Miss'
Karen McMillanand Mrs. John
White, sister of the groom, both
of Goderich. They wore blue
printed polyester chiffon floor-
' length gowns styled identically
to the matron of honor's gown. •
All of the bride's attendants
carried potpourri clutch
bouquets of blue tinted mums,
pink miniature carnations, •
yellow sweetheart roses and
baby's breath.
Carman Fielder, brother of
the groom, Port Albert, was best
man. Ushers were, Wayne
Draper, brother ,of the bride,
-and John White, ,both of
Goderich.
. _The, wedding reception was_
held at Saltford Valley Hall
where the bride's mother
received her guests in a floor -
length gown with a navy velvet
bodice. topping a light blue chif
fon shirt. The gown was trim-
med with violet and blue and
she wore white rosesatinted blue.
The groom's mother assisted her
in a floor -length gown of printed
mauve acrylic crepe and' a cor-
sage of pink roses.
For a wedding trip to Nor-
thern Ontario, the bride
changed to a street -length dress
,of black and white crepe, red
patent leather purse and shoes
and a corsage of red roses.
The Couple is residing at R.R.
5 Goderich.
Prior to ' her marriage, .the
bride was feted at showers given
by Mrs. John White, Mrs. Gor-
don Martin, her grandmother
Mrs. Ivadell Schram and Mrs.
Paul Erb, an aunt. :LL ---
At a trousseau 'tea given by'
Mrs. Draper for her daughter,
tea was poured by the bride's
grandmother, Mrs. Schram.

Rev. H. Parker officiated at
Trinity Anglican Church, Sim-
coe. The wedding music was
played by Dr.' Austin.
Given in marriage by her
;father, the bride wore, a Vic-
torian,

torianstyle gown with puff
laced sleeves with a full laced
train and a Dutch cap, trimmed
with lace. She carried a cascade
of orchids adorned with pink
carnations and green ivy. -
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Jim Biro, sister of the bride of
Waterford. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. John Veliath, cousin of the
groom, Winnipeg. Mrs. John

Nominations will be received by the undersigned for the
position of Reeve, Deputy -Reeve and 3 Councillors to
serve for the years 1973 and 1974 in the Township of
Goderich.
At the same time nominations will be received from both
Goderich and Colborne Township.electors for one mem-
ber to reriresent these Townships for the years 1973 and
1974 onthe Huron County; Beard of Education.
Nomination day shall be November 13th
hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the office
R.R.2, Clinton.
Candidates may also be dominated during
immediately preceding nomination day,'
place and during the same hour*.

Robert Hanna, Simcoe and the
guests were ushered by Mat
Menich Jr., Teeterville; Jim
Magie, of Kitchener; ,Mr. Mike
Tafeit, London; and Master
David Hanna, Simcoe.
The reception was held at the
Royal Lodge, Simcoe. A wed-
ding trip to Italy is planned for
the Christmas ,vacation.
The couple are residing in
Simcoe where both are em-,
ployed by the Norfolk County
,Board of Education.

season. The Dget together' was
held at the Goderich Memorial
Arena' with the music provided
by "Country Boys.' a
Three special awards were
given out. The annual "Out of
Gas Award" went to Ken Hut-
chins for his efforts. Sam Argyle
won the "Corn Eating Cham-
pionship" Cup for the second
year in a row. The corn eating
contest is held each year on the
island and the award presented
at the wind up party. Gus
Chisholm was named "King of
the Island" on what were
described as rather dubious cir-
cumstances.
Following the "Country
Boys" swamp music was
provided by the Island's own
band of Harvey Scrimgeour on
bass, Freddy` James on fiddle,
Bill Burbine ' playing lead
guitar, Bruce Harris on har-
monica, Gus Chisholm on guitar
and Marilyn Hoy at the piano.

---The-wedding cake .of Mr. and -
Mrs. William Hugh Morenz was
cut with the° bride's father's ,
ather'S,
ceremonial sword which he
carried during his 25 -year
military career. The couple was
married October 7 in Byron
United Church, London.
The bride is the former Lynda
Maureen Nicklom; daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Julius A. Nicklom,
London. The groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Hugh L.G.
Morenz, R.R. 2 Dashwood.
Rev. George A. Morris con-
ducted the wedding ceremony.
Music was supplied by Mrs. J.C.
Thompson. •
Escorted to the altar by her
father; - the ,bride wore a,' white
velvet princess -lined gown ,with
a 'scoop neck, lily -point sleeves
and trimmed with hand -
embroidered seed pearl trim.
The bride designed and
fashioned her own dress. She
wore a white velvet crown head-
dress' with shoulder -length veil
and carried a white tulle muff
adorned with a spray of red '
sweetheart roses. She also wore
a carved ivory ring, an heirloom
from her great grandmother.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Warren Adams, London.
Bridesmaids were Miss Orla

and Miss Joanne Kleinfeldt,
.London' and Toronto.
Their gowns, also designed
and fashioned by the bride, were
of burgandy velvet along empire
lines with matching velvet, bows
in their hair, They carried' white
wicker baskets filled with daisy
mums and pink carnations with
pink satin ribbon streamers.
Best man was Thomas
Russell, Windsor. Ushers were
Robert Nicklom, the bride's
brother, and Alvin Lavery, Hen-
sall.
Following ' a wedding recep-
tion at Howard Johnson's
Motor Lodge, the bride changed
to a green and .off-white wool
two-piece dress with an off-
white wrap around coat and,
brown leather accessories. She
travelled with her husband to.
Tobermory where their
honeymoon was spent.
They will reside in London.

of Cheryl Anne Helm and
Waverley Nelson,
The bride is the daughter of
the late Mrs. Helm, Kitchener.
The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Glen Nelson, Goderich.

Royal and Rev. E. Nelson, uncle
of' the groom, Orangeville.

Helm, the bride chose a formal
gown of appliqued poi over
taffeta featuring a very full skirt
sweeping from a fitted waist.
The bodice featured an
appliqued midriff and rounded
neckline with puffed sleeves.

travelling to Northern Ontario,
the bride wore a grey and white
ensemble with black jacket and
accessories.
They are residing in Goderich.
Jim Bird
a good -man to
know.
You've probably met Jim Bird. At the Lions Club or
other local organizations. Jim's an active participant
in them because, as manager of the Goderich Royal
Bank, he is vitally concerned in the well-being of the
community and its people. So, if you need extra
cash for something wortlfwhile, need help in
arranging your finances, or just peed a friend to help
you sort things out -- drop in to the Royal and say
hello to Jim Bird. Helping people is his job. That's
