Dick Duff, former N.H.L.'er and now running as a Liberal can-
didate in The federal election was asked what he thought of the op-
po"sition leader; iGi'r: Stanfield''Diekie replied= that Mr. Stanfield
reminded him of a "mellowed Clarence .Campbell" ....One rookie 4
defenceman who shall remain anonymous, stated that trying to
check Phil Esposito. in the slot was like trying to kill an'elephant

cillors, four Public Utilities Commissioners, two Public
School Supporters' representatives on the County
School Board, and one member of the Huron and Perth
Counties combined Roman Catholic 'Separate School '
Zone Board representing the town of Goderich, the
Township of Goderich and the'lbwnship of Colborne for
the years •1973 and 1974 will be held during that period
Thursday, November 9, 1972, and until 5:00 o'clock in the
afternoon of Nomination day Monday, November 13,
1972.

filing, during the period in which 'candidates may be

pionship last week in a game played against Mount Carmel

possible feat, - so if you were

The ice -making operations
are progressing favorably and
just seeing Tom Jasper's en-
thusiasm every time he turns on
those lights in the curling area
(which happens three times a
day!) is enough to make even a
tepid curler want to get back in
the hack.

Man hurt
Gerald• Brindley,,18,year old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordo;
Brindley of R.R. 6 Goderich is
listed in • satisfactory condition
at Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital suffering from
injuries received when he was
caught in the power take off unit
of a tractor on the Brindley
farm Tuesday morning.
Reports indicate the Brindley
youth, suffered broken ribs and
internal injuries in the accident.
He is a student at the
Goderich and District Collegiate
Institute... .. .
