Every, tithe a new basement is dug, orthe first blocks go into
place for the foundation, evervtime the heavy machines begin to
scrape out' new streets or a Vacant lot becomes active with the
scurry of surveyors it is your business'. The new structures in-
volved may not be yours but in some way they effect you as a
resident of this community, he that positive or negative.
This coming Tuesday, October 10, Goderich's new zoning
bylaw comes before the public for a final approval at that level. •
Will you be there. Although vour,elected officials may he sent to
Town council'to look after your interests are you so certain they
will do what you want.
There have been many mistakes in the past, and no doubt
there will be many to come in the field of planning, but too often
residents do their squawking after its too late. Recent develop-
ments have pointed toward this as being a very real problem.
Panning Board meetings'and Council meetings are open to the
public. Will you be attending or will you do your squawking after
its too late?
