The '"° G'aderich Recreation
Board and Arena Committee
met on Monday evening and
devoted the most part of their
w meeting to making plans for
Recreation Director M.W.
Dymond who will take,. up his
duties in .Goderich October 16.
Mr. Dymond is coming to
Goderjch from Kingston where
he°is presently employed in the
same capacity. "
A location from which the
new recreation head will work
was formost iii the minds of
board members. Three possible
alternatives were suggested. The
promotion office on The Square„
N where there is an unused, fur-
nished office, and a secretary,
the Goderich Memorial Arena'
for the setting up of an office in
the former Goderich Business
College, should the town decide
to retain those facilities.
Board members agreed that
the best site for the Recreation
Director's office, at least on a
temporary basis, would be in the
`Promotion facilities .at—The
Square. This plan would
represent 'the least amount of
outlay to set the new employee
up, as far as4 furnishings were -
concerned since' the office was"'
already. supplied,' andthe

location was central.
Board members agreed to
recommend to town'council that
the Promotional Office be used
and .that the council officially
set the administrative structure
as it affects the new employee.
Mr. Dymond will start in his
new job October 16 with the first
six months representing a
probationary period` at the
salary of $9,200 per year.
In other business the board
heard a ' report •fromthe Santa
Ora -us.. Parade Committee.
December 2 has been set as the
official date for the 1972 version
of the annual event. The parade
will follow the same route as
last year and Santa's Court is
