The Kinette girls baseball league would up its summer's ac-
tivities recently. One of the competitive squads were the. •
Gophers. They are, left to right, front, Vi Fuller, coach, Judy

Well, it's do or die now, as the
finalists get ready for Cham-
pionship ,Day. _
In the Ladies' section, Edna
Overholt defeated Della Bedard
last week; to go on to the final
•
against Hazel Beaver. It was
quite an exciting game, in
which, putting proved to be the
key factor in Edna's win.
However, Della is still in, the
picture, as she will meet
Marilyn MacKay for the

Softball League has reached the•
finals with Benmiller. Foresters
leading the best 2 out of 3 series

The league has operated since
mid-June with approximately 75
girls participating.
At the end of regular season
-play, the Foresters were un-
defeated, the Gophers were in
second place, then came the
Crackers ,and the . Skippies.
In play-offs, the Foresters
downed the Crackers in 2
straight games. The Skippies
won 2 out of 3 against the
Gophers and earned the right to
. meet the Foresters in the final.
On Tuesday night, the. Kinet-
tes hosted the girls to a lun-
cheon at Knox Church Hall and
presented each player with a
league crest.
The Foresters of the Kinette Girls baseball league for this'
year were, left to right, front, Donna Rutledge, Margo Moore,
Brenda Pollock, Donna Jackson, Susan Feagan, Lisa Moore,
June Bowman, Pegti$ Fisher, Darlene Jewell and Nancy Rowe.

soring a show of 'snowmobiles
Saturday; October 7. At the
present time, it is expected that.
22 or 23 manufacturers will
display their machines at the
Exeter show -- and answer anv
questions visitors might have
concerning their operation.

This week, Ladies' Night will
be, on Thursday night, with a
shotgun start at 4:45. Dinner
will follow' at about 7 p.m. In.
'case of rain, there. will just be
dinner.
Ladies' Night last week had
the following results. In • the
First Flight, Doris Paquette and
Maxine Martin tied • with Low
Nets of,38: In the Second Flight,
Jean Knight led the way with
35'/-2, followed by Ardith
Brissette (38). In die 3rd Flight,
Dorothy Worgan was the big
winner with 41, fol'l'owed by
Jane Deathe (49). There were
two Hidden Doles prizes which-,,
were won by 'Jean Harily and ,
Ruth. Clancy.
In the men's section, John
Mason (67) defeated Tony
Bedard. (69) in -an excellent
match, and will go on to meet
John Kane for the- club cham-
pionship.
Also in some exciting action,
Jack Gould will play Harold
Wall`s, to determine the First
Flight champion, and Jack Hin-
ton will play George Bolton for
the Second Flight winner.
For the regular tournament
and Senior's tournament, con-
sult the bulletin board for tee -
off times:
On Men's Night this week,•the
attendance was small due to the
weather. Only ten men managed
to complete their games. The
winners were: Lee Hill, Issv
Bedard, and Don Mitchelmore.
'-Remember, everyone is welcome
to come down on Saturday to
see some exciting golf.
There are tickets available for
the dinner sand' dance which
follows. They can be purchased
