repeated. Larraine Baechler, the
secretary, gave the minutes and
they were approved. Barb Moss
gave the treasurer report. '
Verna Kane, the . vice-
president,hoped we would have
the opportunity of introducing
new members to the sorority this
year.
Several letters were read from
organizations requesting finan-
, cial assistance.
An interesting program was
given by Dorothy Feagan with
the theme being "Happiness"
what it means and how we may
spread it to our environment.
The closing' ritual was
repeated after which cookies
• and lemonade were served.

Huron County Board of
Education will get behind the
mothers of Huron who would'
like to see Sesame Street carried
on local television.
A letter from the board to
CFPL, in London will go out
shortly requesting that the
program be scheduled this win-
ter if at all possible.
The agtion was touch"d off by
a letter fr\m an Exeter mother
to the board . at its regular
meeting in Clinton Monday
evening.

At the Salt Mine this week
the Hamildoc, out of Montreal',
docked light and took out 6,000
tons, Both the Parker Evans
• and the Prindoc are due at the
mine 'later in the week.
At the grain elevators the Pic
River docked, and the Elmdale
is due this weekend. The Shelter
Bay is also expected to ,arrive
and take out about 40,000.

At a meeting of the H'uron-
Perth County Roman Catholic
separate school board in
Seaforth Monday, Jack Lane,
Business Adrninistrat'br,
reported ' the ..Devon Park
Residents, Stratford, had signed
and returned the agreement for
the use of the `school site as a
playground for the children of
the Devon Park area.
Mr. Lane reported the
purchase . would be cornpleted
within the next few days by the
Board pf the property at " 208
,Queen Street, Stratford, from
Mr. and' Mrs. Donald Goodhew.
John Vintar, superintendent
of education, reported a slight
decrease in enrolment this year.
In the ten school's in Huron the
enrolment is 1619 and in the
nine schools in Perth it is 1744„
for a total . of 3363 pupils,
compared to' 3530 • last tyear.
The enrolment by schools is

would be a three-day workshop
held by the Ontario Educational
Communications Authority at
St. Michael's School in
Stratford, cornrnencing Monday,

principals which will begin with
a two-day workshop September
27 and 28 in St. Joseph's Parish'
Hall in Stratford. It is hpped
that this will be the initial step
in an ' on-going professional
development program for
principals. .
For the municipal elections to
be held in December several
changes have been made in
SMool' divisions: to the forrner
. Clinton, Hullett and McKillop
division three more townships
have been added- — Morris,
Grey and Howich Townships,
and , to the Logan, Mornington
division has been added
Listowel, Milverton and the
Townships of Elrna „ and
Wallace.
The Board also approved the
recornrnendation' that the
present services of
transportation in the City of
Stratford—namely frorn the
Mornington Heights and
Bedford subdivision and the
Devon Park subdivision to. -St.

postpone a vote for two weeks

recornrnendation . failed. In a
recorded vote on the
recornrnendation it was
approved -with .a vote for it by

building until October 15.- The
property was purchased from
A.W. Wright earlier . this year.
