Did you ever stop to consider
how many times tht phone rings
in a minute?
Most people will let the thing
ring about four times then hang
up. Now, the rings are about five
seconds apart or about 12 in
ONE Minute. Can you run 147,
frorn the basement or from out
"doors 'in' the four -rings?,
Perhaps you can if the way is
clear and your're on young fast
legs. I usually make it in time„to
hear the click pn the other end
, of the line and this is REALLY
maddening.
So -- I'm not,that slow and
old that I would give up ting
to catch that call, but just think
of the people who ARE older, •
have just one phone - no
extensions - and not a lot of
calls in a day..
How do you think THEY feel
when a lot, of.their callers have
hung up by the tirne they reach
the phone?
I'm not complaining for
myself - altho' I have thought
how ' inconsiderate people are
