and he has shown some interest in learning to play the piano.
Silnday School, is one of his favorite outings.
Johnny needs a relaxed, loving home where the parents will
give him warm reassurance without, pressure for academic
achievement.

County council picnic
held of Seaforth
. Despite threatening. ' weather
there was a good attendance at
the annual Huron County picnic
sat Seaforth Lions Park.
During the afternoon a sports
program was, carried out and
later a picnic supper was served
in the pavilion. Winners in the
sports events and of draw prizes
were: boys 5 and under'; David
Pullen, Jerry MacBeth; girls 5
and under; Tracey Hayter,
Karen Schade; ' boys 7 , and

MP Robert McKinley took part
in a brief ceremony, to mark the'

Distinguished personalities
were on hand for performances
throughout the remainder of the
week,. including" Minister, of
Agriculture William Stewart
and ,Huron -'s ` MPP Charles
MacNaughton.
Also last week, the Playhouse
had its first chartered busload
— this one corning from
Goderich_ to see a theatre
performance.
Tn "addition' to the regular
roster of performances, members
of the company have been busy
with several other activities.
They did a production of.
Sleeping Beauty to an almost
capacity crowd of delighted
-•-children and.. a.._._surpr.isin.g.
number of adults.•Joan Hanna,
who played the wicked "Purple
Witch,". was particularly eye-
catching with her purple robes
and green hands and face.
Despite the poor weather, this
performance was so successful
that the company hopes, to
repeat it, perhaps September 2.
Last week, the Playhouse'held
a meeting and reception of the
-Board—of- Trustees at the
Oakwood Inn. James Murphy,
Playhouse director, said • that
generally, the Board's attitude
was enthusiastic for the result of

Her husband, -Lawrence Lane, is
an elementary school teacher at
one of the Goderich schools. Mr.
and Mrs. Lane are making their
home at 339 Edward Street,
which they have purchased.
