Annual children's day
The annual children's day
was Observed at the July.
Meeting 'of the Auburn Women' s
Institute Avhen if met in the
Community Memorial hall. The
president, Mrs: Donald
Cartwright was in" charge of the
Meeting. A progra.m f011owed
which was presented by the
young people and children.
Lynn Turner 'played a piano
solo, Wendy Powell, Cecile and
Milly Legris sang accompanied
by Miss Lorraine "Chamney. A
solo was sung by Janice Mei.
and'Miss Doris'Naylor and Miss
Lorraine Charnney sang a jet
accompanied by Miss Lynn

An "eliminaiion contest
conducted by Mrs. , QtYrdon
Chamney was won by -Katherine
Machan. All of 36 children sang
several choruses they had
-learned at Bible school. Then
they all went to the back of the
hall where they enjoYed, a fish
pond.
Mrs. Cartwright conducted ,the
business and Mrs. Donald
• Haines read the minutes which
were approved as read. She also
gave the financial statement.
Mrs: Gordon Taylor reported' on
the street signs for the village
