Sdesavv, opened last night.
The playhouse will eventually
make its home in a conv6rted
barn. The wmit necessary to
complete this project will take
some time yet, so this first
seasbn will be held in the tent

of salt.

The unseasonably hot, humid'
weather of last week made it

seen brushing the dew from the
greens in the early morning' and
casting shadows on the fairways
as dusk fell in the evening. .
Golfing , events during the
wOk'were not seriously affected,
by the . weather% . with the
kceptionjhat it was simply too
hot for the .mixed scotch two-,
bali on Thursday night.
The ladies took particular
advantage of the situation hy
planning a steak barbecue after
golfing on'Monday night, which
was a tremendous success ,and
enjoyed by about 40 girls.
Winning ladies were: tied for
first place, Sue Powell, Shirlev
Baechler, Shirley Tebbutt, each
with a 7.4. Ruth Brindley came

in Vt.:ups. Lorl Keller and Steve
Crew.are at their best in the 50
meter dash, and in the 12
minute run, Lori Mackay, Tracy.
Sitter and Bonnie Reid were
best Suited.
• The test battery has been
constructed to test athletes so
that local coaches may become
more familiar with simple
testing • methods, potential talent
may,be brought to the attention
of' local coaches and athletes
may be redirected into more ,
compatible events. . In some
areas, a f011ow-up program will
determine if a summer of
training has produced any
improvements.
