The Goderich•Beta Sigma Phi Sorority wi II be under the direction of
a new executive during the upcoming year following elections
' recently. The new group leaders are, left to right, Susan Gower,

On April 25 a meeting of Beta
Sigma Phi was field at the home of
Pat' Spence with 12 members '
present.
The minutes of the previous
meeting were approved as read.
aA -letter was received
regarding support .for the V.U.N.
in purchasing. an automobile to
establish a service in this ma.

sorority could not support this

The extension officer,
Larraine .Baechler, reported Qn
an'' invitation which has been
extended by the Clinton chapter to
join them for a social on May 30 at'
8:30 p.m.
' A thank -you was received from
the Children's Aic' Society for
clothing supplied by, the sprorit y
for a number of teenage girls.
A letter was also received from
the Canadian Arthritis and
Rheumatism Society soliciting

The Goderich chapter of Beta
iii ma Phi celebrated the 41st
Anniversary of the organization's
founding on f44iy 2nd at 4:30 .at. the .
Bedford Hotel.
Forty-one years ago, the 'first
chapter of the sorority was
formed in Abilene, Kansas. There
Anti now approximately 10,500
chapters and 425,000 membersin
the l'nited States, Canada, and 23
other countries and territories.
In addition .to the banquet,
ti atl{itional ceremonies were..
observed and the installation of
the new executive for 12-73 took
place. Two new members
completed their training and,

welcomed to the chapter.
Barn Moss was honoured as the
support. A speaker is 'to be
present at the next meeting May 9'
to showa film and clarify how the
chapter could help them.
, The evening concluded with an
interesting demonstration Of clay
modelling by Hazel McCreath.
Each member participated by
trying to fashion something from
her own lump of clay.
