Walkerburn Cid meets
The Walkerburn Club held their
monthly meeting at the home of
Mrs. Thomas Cunningham with
the president,' Mrs. Elliott Lapp
in charge.
The meeting Was opened by
singing 0 Canada, followed by the
Lord's Prayer. Mrs.. Lapp gave a
reading "The Wild Beatify al
Spring". The minutes were

guests at the May meeting of the
Auburn Women's Institute on May
16 in the Community Memorial
Hall. The girls will present the
fashion show that they pusented

in Owen Sound recently,with Mr.

Congratulations to all the little
bowlers out .this way who took
home trophies for bawling this
year and worked so hard to win.
About 40 people attended a
party for Mr. and Mrs. Geo:
Rivett at their home for their 54th
wedding anniversary. The

cribbage and daneing. Mutic was

motor vehicle accidents on local,

The executive of the Goderich
Minor Hockey Association held a
meeting on Tuesday evening and
began to hammer out plans for the
upcoming season. The meeting
involved the new -197.2-73
executive who were elected last
month.
, Among the matters discussed
was a plan to organize a Minor
Hockey Auxiliary. A meeting has
beenplanned for May 17 of those
interested in the project. All
interested persons are invitpd
with the meeting to take place at

special effort, What's Yer Fancy
directed by Marjorie Hays Dunlop
played to full houses last
Thursday, Friday and Saturday
evenings.
The show, a musical variety
treat, was staged to make some
'additional money for the group to
offset some expenses, such as the
• installation of theatrical lights at
McKay Hall.
, Special plaudirts must go to the
group who at the last minute was
f9sne4 to engage a London
musician, ,Willie Wickett, who
played the piano adcompaniment
in the absence of Paul Baker who
was taken ill the night before the
first performance was schedtbled.
Among the Most stirring
numbers in the show was the
finale orthe evening, songs from
Brigadoon by Lerner and Lowe.
