the salt boat Sarniadoc. It took on 4,400 tons of salt and was bound for

Last week grade three tapped
four maple trees outside of the
room. From these trees w•e"gpt
about 100 cups of sap which we are
boiling down in, our- room. On
Tuesday of this .weeks we poured
the liquid over ice -cubes to make
taffy. We then had a taffy pull. •
Afterward we ate the taffy. It
tasted very good
We are doing' Tissue. Paper . Grade four have completed •
• their project on Haw•ii, They now
• enjoy doing their other subjects in
an Hawaiin setting. Last week w,e.
_ had a special treat when the Math

Room 21 has just begun an
investigation into the'tundra's
effects upon its anhahitants The
molt interesting tact learned is
that the tundr'a'is colourful in the
summer due to many flowers and C_rackles.,silclhouse went up hill
plants 'blooming. This, was in.w one place and downhill in
certainly unexpected. Also since another, Crackle went downtown
shopping for a new hat and didn't
even find one.•She was .hungry and
went to get ,something from the
city. But that night they could, not
'sheep because there were trucks,
cars, trains and dogs. So the next
day they went hack to their old
house and after that `they lived
happily for ever.

safety rules that it is hard to

and her cat 'always had so many
troubles. One time she got home
from town, there was no cheese
left. Some mice took it. Another
time when she went to bed there
were spiders. and still there were
bees in. the chimney. , When they
went to sleep they heard a.kneck

Crackle Toes lived in an old
house: In one, part of the floor it
goes uphill, in another part it goes'
downhill. But there were mice in
the house. There were spiders in
the cupboard. There were bees in
the chimney. Crackle couldn't
sleep with all the noise. So one day
she went to Crinkle toes who lived
in the city. When Crackle got -to.
Crinkle shouse it was dark. So
they went to bed. I•t was so .noisy

couldn't, sleep. There were_
trucks. cars, trains. dogs and
