pink carnations and white daisies
on Saturday, March 25 for the
double -ring ceremony at which
Nancy Louise Sowerby and John
harry Adams became man and
wife,
Rev, G.G. Russell conducted
the wedding. '
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth Sowerby,
R,.R.2, Goderich and the groom'S
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Barry
Adams, Goderich. The wedding
music Was played by Paul Baker,
the church organist.. •

with empire waist, high neckline
• with soft ruffle arid long full
sleeves. The A-line skirt was
' banded with the lace. The back and
front of bodice was enhanced by

effect. Back interest 'was
_centered on the beautiful wafteau
train which flowed softly from the
waist., A guipure lace headpiece
held the three-tier silk illusion
veil. The bride carried a crescent
bouquet of pink roses and',,white
carnations;
The maid of honor was Susan
•Sowerby, sister of the bride, and.
• the bridesmaids were. Janice
Sowerby, sister of the brideand
Doris Adams, sister of • the
groom. Sally Little was flower
girl.
They were all dressed alike in
gowns of pirtl+
crepe with. bole 4s of burgundy
•destrie velvet, They were styled
similarily "to the bride: All
carried colonial bouquets of pink
,and burgundy carnations with.
white daisies.'
Gary Williams of Windsor was
the•beslman and the ushers were
Paul Sowerhy,; brother of bride.

at Saltford Valley Hall wherethe
bride's ,mother received the
guests ina navy and white floor -
length gown of crepe with a coat.
effect and a corsage of pink roses.
The groom's mother chose a
floor -length gown with a peach
crepe top and flowered skirt and a
,white carnation corsage tinted
with peach.
For travelling to Tennessee,
the bride wore a navy crepe dress
trimmed with red, white and navy,
red coat, navy accessories and
red and white carnation corsage.
Prior to her marriage. the
bride was feted at showers given
by'Mrs., Don Langridge and Mrs.
Harry Little, Mrs. Charles Orr
and Mrs. Gordon Johnston, Mrs.
James.MeDougall, girlfriends in
London and by: 'the Operating
Room Staff of St. . Joseph's
Hospital, London, where the bride
is employed.

in London.

Suspect remanded
in Bell shooting
A 22 -year-old Guelph man was
remanded in custody for one week
when he appeared in London court
Monday charged with the non -
capital murder of Clifford Harvey
Bell, 44,. of. London. Mr. Bell, ` a
former Kincardine resident, was
'found shot twice through the head
and stuffed in the trunk of a car:

was picked up' by Guelph police
after a Telex message was sent to
various centres.
Police -also seized a .22 -calibre
rifle, luggage andclothing. These
items were sent to Toronto for
examination.
Mr. Bell. known toe London

found in the trunk of a rented car
in the driveway of Roxburghe
College, a student housing co -
'operative on. Wharncliffe Road,
when residents saw blood
dripping on the pavement. He was
also known to the police as a .fence

MacKay Hall on Saturday evening
after a successful three days and
a • Little Theatre members began
work the following day on the-

'Here Lies Jeremy Troy"
played to appreciative audiences
on Wednesday ' Thursday and
Saturday of • last week and
organizers termed it,, most
successful. On Sunday members
of the play cast began working on a
