Knox Presbyterian Church was deedrated with tinted mauve
gladioli February 19 for the wedding ceremony conducted by
Rev. G.L. loyal at which Ian Russell Mahon took ,Janet Beverly
Beattie as his bride.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Beattie,
R.R. 2 Goderich, and the groom's parents are Mr•. and Mrs. Sam.
Mabon, R.R. 6 Goderich.
• Wedding music was furnished by *intim!Carneron. '
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father: She chose,a
while wedding gown of peau de -sore featuring a stand-up Collar
appliqued- with lace. A hooded cape fell•from the shoulders, to
form a chapel- r-ain, She carried a nosegay of white roses with
mauve variegated miniature carnations,and white streamers
with miniature carnations. '•
Ernest Shewwodd, Hamilton, was the groom's hest man,, Usher
was Bud Mahon, 'brother of the groom, Goderich.
The wedding reception was at the Candlelight Inn where the
• bride's motherreceived her guests in a dawn pink floor -length
gown of imported lace and crepe fashioned with coat effect and"a
"Corsage of pink roses. The groom's mother wore a three-piece ,
'beige' linen suit with navy accessories and a corsage of pink -
roses.. •
For travelling to Northern. Ontario; the bride• selected an
ankle length skirt in black and white geometric design, a Nark
knit shift and jacket trimmed in white and a corsage of white
miniature carnations. •
•• The newlyweds are residing at. 27 Kingston St.. Suite 3 in
Goderich. •
Prior to her marriage, the.l, ride was feted at shQwers given by •
her sisters, Mr's: Donna Harris, 55 East St., Goderich and Mrs.
Betty Wickham; London. The bride's aunt, Mrs. Gordon Bedard, .
