Mrs. 13laiseMartinhas been in eeve aa� iffgett Members of Goderich Town Council have uncurled with a resolution from-- the 'Tolvn of Ingersoll in which it was agreed to petition the Ontario government "to take whatever action deemed necessary to provide grants equal to the amount paid through the Residential Tax Reduction Policy in 1971 to relieve the homeowner of some of the burden of Municipal and Educational taxes in 1972." The Ingersoll resolution draws .attention to the fact ;,that the 'discontinuation of the policy ,wall create a burden on the residential taxpayers, especially those on fixed incomes. It notes that the ,provincial scheme made it possible, for municipalities to continue a ' progressive irnprovement program without undue burden to the ratepayers.
