The persons involved may never read this public -thank you"—but that doesn't really matter. What is important is that thanks was rendered. The first lady was out. travelling on,the highway with her car, when- the automobile skidded on some ice and wound tip off the road. A woman alone in an awkward position' Heavens' ln�all fairness,•one person did stop who was unable to be of any inrinediate assistance. But the lady informs us that she sat and waited for someone else to offer to help—but no .one else stopped, cards when the telephone rang. It. was her husband's office advising her that her wallet had teen ;turned in to them.
