During .,the 34 months, ,1, 365 smokers died, only 662, nonsmokers died—less than half. `The mortality rate, study- figures'show, was higher for all,. age •g soups an for all causes` -arming smokers.,, even among 'persons 'dying in .accidents,or contra e• atrg s discrepancy :was 'among lunggander victin s. This might not keep you from • becoming a statistic, but it might. It seems to be the terrible cumulative effect of heavy smoking that does the damage. '' if you smoke one cigarette every trout., you'll smoke about sixteen cigarettes a day. You might even decide to quit entirely. .The way to follow this plan is to never smoke before breakfast, or before ysur° morning coffee, then . never smoke Unless the time is on !the hour: if it's 10:3.0,0 wait till . , . eleven: 1f the irour' sineak& 'by " without your noticing it, So much -tti - 1etter; AA Tait-zrnt Foe hour.
