Leonard Elliott" and Jane Pocock were both born in
Turnberry Township and married 50 years ago in Illuevale by
Rev. Crawford Tate. .
�' Mr.. Elliott's sister Stella and Stuart Cowan were the
attendants 'for the double wedding, ceremony. Mr. Cowan died
in 1963.
Many people recognize Len' lay his stiff leg which is the
result of an old railway accident..Although has caused many
hours in the hospital in the past, friends will. be glad to know
thatdhe is quite active, In fact both Mr. and Mrs. Elliott enjoy
good health. n w
Mr. Elliott likes. reading, watching TV and playing cards.
His wife "Jean" is well known in town through **activities in
various organizations. She is'the 'past president of. the Legion
Ladies Auxiliary and also_belongs to the Rebekah Lodge and
the local Mary Hastings Club,' She enjoys bingo,•bowling, darts

Mr.'Elliott began working 'for the CNA. in 1924 and served
the railway'' for 42 'years.. He retired as Section' Foreman in•
Goderich in 1966, The couple lived in Mitchell for nine years
