' CHRISTMAS,
THINK ABOUT IT
Chri%nas is• a time,._ for joy,
presents, laughtelr fruit cake. But
doeNsorneizne ever think why we
have Christmas?
Christmas •is a time for joy,
because Jesus, our Saviour was
born. Hee was Thorn into, the'
world to teach us about God and
how to serve him, to do right
not wrong. He died for our sins
and arose on the third day.
1 don't know where the idea,
of buying presents came 'from.
But it brings happiness to some
people: I would like to know,
how many ,1people do think of
the real meaning?

are being strung around tall,
evergreen trees. Stores are'taping
up anything that suggests to
Christmas. But are these pictures
the real meaning? Yes, they do
add decoration to the windows
and make children look and
stare, But why can't people put
up some of the religious pictures
so children will look and
appreciate Christmas all the
more.
If doesn't , just refer to stores:
but in homes too. How'mar,of
your children know:the real
meaning of Christmas?

Christmas is a ball of fun fbr
every girl and boy, who dance

' Christmas is not a time for
just getting gifts. It is. a time for
having fun such asgoing to a big
city or even uptown to see the
Christmas decorations and
'different things in the stores. 'So
at Christmas just don't think or
gifts but other things' too.

I know that most of you get
excited on Christnias Eve and
morning, but do younever stop
to think why we celebrate this
special day almost everywhere in
the world? Yes, you know -now,
but will you remember " on
Christmas Eve and morning?, or
will your mind be somewhere
else? No, I know I'm not perfect
myself because I probably won't
even remember this story ,at the
time, but for you other people
(who are not absent-minded) try
to remember 'oin Christmas will

,Christmas means many
different thing to many different
people. To young children. it
means nqw toys from Santa
Claus — that kind-hearted, old
man with the snowy, white
beard. `To older people it is a ti
time to see their children,
grown-up now, and their
grandchildren.
When I think of Christmas, I
imagine a dreamland of white,
where trees, 'hills and houses are
blanketed by soft, fluffy snow.
Icicles adorn the bare trees
making them tinkle with each
breath of wind.
