WHAT CHRISTMAS
REALLY MEANS
Christmas is a jolly time
For young and old Alike
it's- a --time .for -sincerest- greetings
...;th. r.b.?t,Ql.gh:t:Q..:aY,•a;lcnight..
Many people think of presentsat
this joyous yuletide
OLcheer, greetings and of great
gifts to hide
But others think differently of
. Christ,mases gone by.
Of a dear Saviour's birth, and of
angels in the sky
How He lay in a manger, clothes
in a radiant light.
How- He carne to'•teach`us all: the
meaning that' we share on this
night
It's really .Oure and simple
To all of those who care
Christmas really means the joy
' of loVe, giving, caring,
thanking. and brothhood of
all mankind.

THE 'FIRST CHRISTMAS
The snow was falling softly,
That very farst Christmas day.
The shepherds hid their face in
" fear,
Wishing the star would go away.
But suddenly an angel,
Appeared to end their fright-
"Have no fear," she said,
"For a Saviour is born toni4ht."
While in another country, 1
Three witsemen saw the star.;
They followed it most faithfully.
Although it was afar.
It travelled on and on,
It travelled on, they'say.
But it stopped above a manger,
In which were cattle and hay.
When suddenly angels appeared,
Above the manger lowly.
And' began to sing of God,
- Our father who is holy.
Mary and Joseph were there
Watching o'er the boy.
Everyone was giving,
Good tidings of great joy.
And that is why, my friends,
That we do celebrate,
December twenty-fifth, ,
it ChristMAS' D'ay :'

Once again, the Christmas mystery pervades the air of '
home and mart and sanctuary. °To the child, the
interim has been so long; to those of more-advancedn
years, it has passed so quickly. ardless• of how
slowly or how quickly "it has ly , that interim • .
between Christmas 1970 and Chris mas 1971 has'
brought it's gains and it's losses; it's a hievements and
it's reverses; it's joys and it's sorrows; it's re -unions
and it's separations. Whatever the interim has brought
to you, we take this opportunity to express our wish
that the peace and . joy and hope God gave at
Bethlehem at the Messiah's birth may be yours at this
Christmas Season and throughout the New Year. •
