OF CHRISTMAS
I wish....I wish I could put

• There • is something special
about the first snowfall that
arouses a smile to my face, Not a
. sly smile or a fake smile, but,
" truly a happy smiler It happens
again "and again. A smile that
starts an excitement in my heart
and a skip in my step.
But wait! Maybe it is the fact
that everywhere .1 go, everyone
and everything seems gay. and".
' lively. 'Why'? Why so gay? 1 wish
I cduld. say, but it still seems
elusive.
Maybe it is the glow on the-*
_ ('ace of 'the baby Jesus, the \
happy glow that makes everyone
else beam ,too. Again I ask., why?

mother but they are too tired so
they go back to sleep and I go
out to. -the Christmas tree- and
fall 'to Sleep myself. My Parents
Would corse out later and wake
them ' up. I would be all excited
and jibbery, until it was all over.
Christmas to,, me now means
'Jesus was born' and it is first
giving Jesus a present but we are
receiving it ' for him because he
could not be there.

Christmas means presents and
to most .little children a big fat

three games in the Sheaffer
Bonspiel . There,. were seven
out-of-tov.n teams and nine local
quartets.
- The winners were
ant -Of -town entries. P. Coates'
rirjl from Exeter won the
Trophy with 551/2 points. Joe
-Murphy from Clinton won the
ho's't' flight with 53 points. In the
rest of this 9 a.m. draw, Ivan
Rivett's ..team was second, J.
Brownridge was third and Jerry
Ginn fourth. The other winners
toys to all the children in the
world. But to' me I mostly think
of what I am going to buy the
rest of the family. I don't know
how some people can buy -
enough presents for the r,est of
there family and still have
money left over. How oh how
do they do it? Even after buying
one present I'm usually broke.
Then I ask to have more money
to go to the show inskati'ng and
I have to tell the reason I need
surprise. Mostly christmas means
a therpseach through the house
` looking for all my present even
though 1 don't find any it's fun.
