It appears that the dispute
between Eastbank Buildings Ltd.
and the Town of Goderich is
nearing a solution. Word at last,
week's council meeting was that
Eastbank has agreed to complete
the work on the sewer and
construct the street lights as per
contract in the Christina Court
subdivision.

The last open meeting of
Goderich Town Council before
Christmas is set for Wedne/day:,
December 22 at 4 p.m.
Tonight's Meeting is closed to
the public as it is the regular
committee meeting of coacil.
Municipal offices will close
• December 23 for Christmas and
Will reopen December 28. New
Year's Day will be observed
January 3 and the office will
remain closed until January 4.

He said he had met with

while in Toronto. Meetings have
also taken place with Jack

representatives of McBrine
Luggage, a firm which Mr. van
Gastel recently sold. He has
hopes of getting the company to
locate a plant at the base.,
A meeting is scheduled today
with representatives of an
American company ' which
manufactures Mobile Homes.
Mr. van Caster -has been
showing several companies
through the base in each day he
has spent in the area. He has
been commAlting to Clinton
daily from his home, arriving
here by, eight or nine o'clock in
the morning and often not
leaving until late in the evening.
• He is leaving with his wife
next week for 'a holiday in the
Barbados.
