Gaffing ready for enrolment
BROWNIES

Everyone was very excited at
our meeting on November 23,
'We .were getting. ready for our
important Enrolment meeting to
tie held November 30th.
Tweenies were 'Making sure that
they had - passed all `their
- different tests se they - are all
ready to become, real -Brownies.
The other girls were cutting
out big red "Smiles" for our
enrolment" and they also
practieed singing some songs.
We had a big Grand Howl for
Patty Wisser who had earned her'-

er,. Brownie, Wings and who' was
leaving us that evening to "1:1
up" to Guides. Because it was
Patty's last Brownie meeting, .lie
ww•appointed our Fairy Queen,
Kelly Schweitzer had All the
items ready for her craft badge.
During Pow Wo,w she showed uv
a decorated bookmark, a wool
picture. a 'nicely -decorated bar
of soap,,and a real cute Santa
glaus needlebook.

After Brown Owl inspected us to
see if we were in full uniform

also received her Golden Hand.
After a little while some of us
worked on our sem.aph,ore and
other' ,on their compass and
singing O„Canada. We sang "If
you're happy and you•k,now it".
Before closing we' had Taps and
Said "goodnight" to Brown Owl
and Tawny Owl.

Jane Graham bake d the cookies,

lemonade and helped to serve
the guests, This was all part of
the Hostess badge that'Nese girls
are working towards.

November 23rd took the form
of a '`Fly Up” ceremony. The
following girls received into the
Third Goderich Girl Guide
Company were, Patty Wisser,

Masse, Vicki Powell, . Kelly
Suchard, Heather Marshall and
Dale Simons. Captain Imbeau
and several of the Guides were
there to welcome Sandra Claus
into th'e' Second Goderich Guide
Company.
The new girls were welcomed ,
and given a tour of "Guide
Land" by the official tourist
guide, Eleanor McMillan.

about Guide Friendship; Claudia
Hill explained Guide ' Stalking
and Tracking; Margaret, Hill told
of Guide ''Fun; Ann Marie

Honor retiring :president with gift

Christmas party a ---'"the Pizza
Patio, Goderich,, on Saturday,
November 27. 'There were 26
present including husbands and
friends of the secretaries,. and

Miss Christine Sudyk..
Upon arrival each husband, or
,boyfriend was presented with a
lovely corsage to pin on 'His
Lady, by t -he out -going President
Mrs. Kay Hodgkinson. These
were given with the compliments
of the Church Street Medical
Center,
When all of the guests had.,
arrived, a delicious__ turkey
dinner, with -all of•the trimmings
was served. The Christmas theme
was -tastefully carried- out both
in the setting and the table
decorations.
