Last week we had a visit from

have been working .on for a few
ikieeks now. After listening to
each girl tell how her puppet was
made, and enjoying all the plays,
Mrs. Brander had'- a list of ten
successful ijrownies who will
receive their Puppet Badges at
our next meeting.
We spent most of our time
that was left finishing up small
test items, discussing, ptans'-for
the Christmas season, and
making sure everyone
understood the --.details of the
Fly -up. on Tuesday and the
Enrollment gtU'riday,

At our Pack meeting on
November 15, Cathy Britnell
was chos,en as our Fairy Queen
and put the toadstool and the
owl ,in the middle of the ring
..while we sang. We opened with
18 -Brownies repeating our- Law
and Promise. Brown Owl and
Tawny Owl taught the Fairies -
and Pixies to make Butterflies
and the Elves, and imps to make

•continued, their preparations 'for
their enrollment,' •
We had a relay race with the
bean bags and our meeting
closed with the Brownie Prager.

Captain introduced Nancy
Fisher, a Brownie \who came to
watch (stir Guide meeting. After
Captain said everything
necessary. we went back to our
Patrol Corners. While Diana
Freeman and, i "figured how 'to
fold the Canadian Flag the
Kingfisher Patrol was thinking of
some games toplay. Up on stage
the • Shamrock patrol was
rehearsing their skit while
another ,patrol was getting songs
ready for campfire.
Later the Kingfisher Patrol
called the girl' together-rth play
games that th4 had chosen. One
was harder than the other but
they were both fun. When games
were done, we held campfire, We
picked the characters for- the
Santa Claus parade, watched two
funny skits by the Shamrock

made a new book about a trip to
Mother Goose Land. They will
soon be doing pictures of all the
people they will see there.
Two students from Teacher's '\,
College .are. visiting Mrs-irwtnls
class this week. We hope Mr.
•Penistan and Mr. Wilton enjoy
their stay at our school.
Mrs. ,Hopkinson's class is
studying Indians:. The pupils
have started to'' learn some
Christmas songs.

The news of the week for.our
school, was the: arrival of Paul'
Christpher on Thtlrsday,
November 18. He is the son -of
our librarian Mrs. Steep. Mother,
" baby and father ale doing well.
Mr. Carroll's classroom
received damage last week in the
form of fourbroken windows. If
you go into the classroom you
will see various animals - of
different sizes and color made
from paper mache.
On Friday, .November 12 at
3:15 the - pupils of Mrs.
MacDonald's Grade 5 had some
Japanese Food. There was
chicken wings, rice and green
tea. The children oft Room 18
invited Mrs. Cranston's class
over-.Tt ey—filayred- `Jals'an 'e
game called Bird in a Cage. They
said they hope they can have
something like that again. The
class had been.studying Japan.
Mrs. Hesk's Grade Six have
made lovely bowls•yifrom paper

Mexico.
Sonny • Dierol f has been away
almost "week because- he had
his tops'out.
On Thursday,
Room 16 was
allowed to chew gum for Art
only.
Mrs. Telford''s clan's would
